Here is the what the GOP will not discuss, the FACTS -
44 percent of LGBT victims were turned away from traditional shelters. As for Tribal victims, Native American women face the highest rate of domestic violence in the US — three and a half times higher than the national average — and can currently not seek any protection if the perpetrator is non-Tribal.
Why aren't these women protected ? Ohhh I almost forgot, these women are different...and the GOP doesn't like that.

The language of Amendment One is broad and untested, and thats on purpose.
Legal scholars and experts agree if it passes, we are looking at a log jam in the Courts and a legal nightmare.
I do not believe the constitution should ever be used to legislate discrimination and take away personal freedom.

It seems we are surrounded by scandal in North Carolina. The NC Democratic Party is still in damage control mode after the sexual harassment scandal that has led to the removalof the Executive Director and the State Chairman. And now a second staffer from the office of NC Speaker Tom Tillis has admitted to having an affair with a lobbyist.
It seems if North Carolina's most powerful elected official doesn't know what goes on his own apartment (denying knowledge of the Thomas affair) or with his highly paid 12 member staff, then how can we trust him to pay attention to the needs of North Carolina. Something to think about...
