With the GOP polling at numbers lower than any recorded low in history, something was bound to give, right?
Well, meetings and plenty of on-camera time today has resulted in a possible deal that may be struck that the President is saying he is happy about.
The real scare, of course, is the debt limits, which will cause a nasty domino effect around the world. And China and Wall Street are breathing pretty hard down their necks to not let that happen.
Though no deal is on the table yet, there talk of talking about possibly talking about a deal.
One thing is clear in all this, however, and that's the fact that even if they do avert the world wide financial crisis that is scheduled for next Friday, they have absolutely no intention of ending the Government shutdown.
So, they'll tend to Wall Street and China and other nation's who hold out debt and profit from the business end of things, yet they will gladly stick it to the Vets, the young, the elderly and those who work for the "non-essential" end of the Federal Government, as well as families of the active military and the deceased military.
I think there's your answer about who they give a damn about. And it isn't anyone who doesn't have major money in the game they are playing.
