Yesterday, I discussed the crazy idea of the Trillion Dollar Coin, which is actually a legal and viable option.
The Government could mint a single coin, assign the value of One Trillllll-ion dollars to it, and hand it off to pay the bills and end the shut down.
Wow. Where did this idea come from? And how is it THAT easy to do?
And, further, it begs to question whether or not money actually means anything, or if we are in a complex theory that has long since abandoned any practical applications. Numbers that have nothing to back them up. An artifical existence that we've all been suckered into believing in.
That's the scariest thought.
Mind you, our debt, as it stands in the world, is what actually keeps most of the rest of the world funtioning. Our debt and our payments to the folks who we owe, is the center piece of the world economy apparently, and if we are reckless about it, it could cause worldwide chaos.
Who would want that?
And maybe that becomes the biggest question to be asked.
The wild-eyed idiots to the farthest right, are all about destruction of the world order as it exists. And while, on the whole, there is something appealing to the notion of a massive erase and do-over in the world, I think we need to be cautioned by the architects and those who are driving them.
All things being equal, I think a massive crash that crippled the world and put everyone on a level playing field, might be just the clensing we all need. But, if you look at it, that is not likely to happen. Those who are the 1% are fortified against the ill winds of crash and change. In fact, they might be the biggest proponents for it to happen, since it will clear the tables of the 99% below them, crippling the majority of the population and setting the tables for them to rule by their money and might over the struggling/slave society that gets the scraps for helping to keep them fat and wealthy. You know? The old Medieval system that ultimately led to the Magna Carta, which is a forebearer of our own Constitution.
What's old is new again.
I can see there being a Cabal of Capitalist Greed who are looking at this with drool rolling down their jowls at the prospect of a world where there is no longer any competition rising up from beneath to question their wealth and might.
And they love seeing what is happening now, thanks to the TeaBaggery and John Boehnery machinations in Washington DC.
It isn't about politics. It's about greed and new world order.
And that should scare the ever-loving bejesus out of everyone out there.
Are we about to witness the first world-wide Corporate Raider takeover? And are the accomplices in leading us down that path unwitting or not?
Food for thought. And get both while you can, because they will become scarce and regulated if these evil bastards succeed.
