Celebrating a special occasion or marking a milestone are perfect reasons to dine at an extravagant establishment, and what better place for that celebration than at a steakhouse? Steakhouses are a wonderful backdrop to mark a milestone, but they are also a great spot to simply find a top quality cut of Grade A beef cooked to perfection.

24/7 Tempo compiled a list of the best steakhouse in each state based on reviews and ratings of some of the "most acclaimed establishments." According to the site, the best steakhouse in all of North Carolina is Angus Barn. This Raleigh eatery serves "American style cuisine including in-house aged steaks, fresh seafood, local grown vegetables and homemade desserts, per its website. Angus Barn is located at 9401 Glenwood Avenue.

This is what 24/7 Tempo had to say about North Carolina's best steakhouse:

"Opened in 1960 in, yes, a big red barn on a hilltop, Angus Barn burned to the ground four years later. It was immediately reconstructed, however, larger and more efficiently designed, and remains in the family of one of the founders. Nine steaks, plus a prime rib and a filet kabob, are on the menu. The aged 42-ounce bone-in tomahawk is 'recommended for 2, or a challenge for 1.' Another specialty is the espresso-rubbed filet mignon, served over blue cheese mashed potatoes with a red wine and chile reduction."
